Stamp Camp is Coming to Your Town!

The Center for Independent Living of South Central Pa (CILSCPA) is bringing an educational program in our seven county area (Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon, Indiana, and Somerset) to help children develop an interest in stamp collecting.

Stamp Camp is an educational program that benefits children with disabilities in developing a life long hobby, encourages creativity, promotes sharing, elevates concentration, and improves interpersonal skills.  This can be done on an individual basis or as a team project. Campers begin by learning the basics of stamp collecting, including proper care of a stamp collection and the use of stamp tools.

We are hoping you will be able to assist us by saving your used stamps for our organization so they may be used to benefit our area youth.  Please contact CILSCPA if you are is able to assist us with our request.  We will be glad to come and collect the stamps on a regular basis. Any stamps that you collect to get our Stamp Camp started will be greatly appreciated.

Used Pill Bottle Collection

We are doing a program to help individuals with disabilities be prepared in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.  These pill bottles will later be used for people with a disability to provide personal, emergency health information.  It will help medical personnel when there is an emergency regarding this person.  You can help by donating your old prescription bottles.

Here’s how:

F  Remove your labels from your used pill bottles the best you can

F  Place them in the Box provided or contact the Center
for details & bottle donations

By you helping us save used pill bottles it maybe saving someone lives or even your own.

Thank you,
