ADVOCACY WORKSHOPS
TO HELP DISABILITY ADVOCACY GROUPS
IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS!!
Strategic Planning 10am – 12pm
Understand the importance of having a clear mission and vision for your organization.
Learn how to prepare an action plan with overarching goals and measureable
objectives, as well as an effective strategy with target dates.
Lunch Included 12pm – 1pm
Lunch will be made available and is a great time to network with other advocates.
Advocacy with the Media 1pm – 3pm
Most people get their information from the news media—newspapers, television and radio. Successful advocacy groups know how to use the media to deliver their message to their communities and to policy makers. We plan to have members of the media help workshop participants understand how they can get their message out.
